Description

In February 2022, during the shelling in Kyiv, a poignant reminder of peace lingered in Moscow's Kyivskaya metro station—a sign commemorating the friendship between Russian and Ukrainian people. Inspired by the letters on this sign, I developed the variable typeface Angst. What started as a simple redrawing of the original inscription evolved into a more elaborate project, resulting in six basic variations and two axes of variability. This typeface encompasses extended Latin and Cyrillic character sets, offering a versatile tool for diverse typographical applications.
